Biography Jacqui Sieger... born during the war in Swanage, Dorset, UK, where my father Joshua Sieger CBE, was a pioneer scientist on the new invention of Radar. His work took the family to New York State after the war, continuing research into the new field of colour television.
Painting has always been a form of relaxation and escape over the years with steady sales to local people. Now, in early retirement there is time to depict my love for the fascinating and mysterious qualities of the sea and landscapes that have so influenced my life. I hope the search for peace and beauty reflects in my work, and appeals to the eye and soul of the viewer. The delicate and intriguing process of a layer technique using luminous acrylic over oil paints creates changing mystical moods. Over the past few years paintings have sold into many private collections, initially in my married name of Jacqui Cowey, but for family reasons I am now painting under my maiden name of Jacqui Sieger. I am now expanding into publishing and exhibitions in the UK and abroad.
